A rare video of the Titanic wreck in 1986 appeared
A rare video of the wreck of the Titanic on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean was released on February 15. Decades after the wreck was first seen The video appeared more than a century after the ship sank.
The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) marine research team found that about three kilometers from the ocean’s surface. The video was taken a few months after the wreckage was discovered in 1985.
The Titanic reports included footage of the shipwreck, but a previously unwatched 80-minute YouTube video was released. Unedited scenes will be displayed.
The Titanic, thought to be watertight at the time of its construction, was the largest ocean liner at the time and sank in 1912 while sailing from England to New York. On April 14, it collided with an iceberg and sank. More than 1,500 people died in the tragedy, and the lack of enough lifeboats on board was criticized.
1985 On September 1, a team from OMSI and a French team discovered the wreck of the Titanic broken in half. Then, in 1986, they shot the documentary in July.
