Lee Sung Gi, a South Korean actor and singer, announced on his Instagram on February 7 that he will be getting married to his longtime girlfriend, actress Lee Dae-in.
It was officially confirmed for the first time in 2021 that the two of them were dating, and they have been dating for three years.
Lee Seung Gi announced to his fans on social media with a handwritten letter, and inside the letter he wrote, “Hello, I’m Lee Seung Gi. I feel that there will be a lot of issues this year, so I felt the need to write this long letter.”
Lee continued, “I want to tell you about the most important decision of my life. I have decided to spend the rest of my life with my lover, Ledain. I asked for marriage and he accepted. Our wedding will be held on April 7th. Be happy for our future. We will continue to live happily. Thank you,” he wrote.
Along with the news, netizens have written various comments, which are due to the Ledain family’s controversial past. Ledain’s stepfather was jailed for manipulating stock prices and making unfair profits.
Some commentators are skeptical that Lee Seung-gi would want to marry someone with a family member who swindled other people’s money because he himself was a victim of financial fraud.
Lee Seung Gi was involved in a legal dispute with his longtime former agency Hook Entertainment in November.
